Worship the Lord God only in the manner he has shown in his Word

That means that we may not:

  1. Add human elements
  2. Take away divine elements

The Second Commandment directs the proper worship of God

We’ll learn about the:

  1. Perfect obedience to this commandment
  2. Perfect reasons for this commandment
  3. Perfect end of this commandment

We must conform our thoughts of God to his perfect revelation

In particular we’ll learn how we must regard him as:

  1. Exalted in majesty
  2. Near in steadfast love

  3. With offerings and sacrifices
  4. And with great rejoicing

  2. Careless services comes from not knowing God well
  3. Knowing God well comes from listening to his Word
