Canadian Reformed Synod 2010 (7)
A little bit more material has been uploaded to the website. We now have the Acts up to Day 3. Not much new there. The morning session of last Thursday was mostly taken up with committee work. There was a plenary session in the afternoon in which it was decided to give the Standing Committee for the Book of Praise the “privilege of the floor” to demonstrate some revised tunes for our Book of Praise. As I understand it, this will be happening some time this week. The evening session of Day 3 featured a meditation on the Ascension by Rev. Feenstra. Also on the website now are two speeches: the opening address by Dr. G. Nederveen and a speech by the fraternal delegate from our sister churches in Korea, Dr. Kyong Ho Kwon.
Over the weekend I’ve had the opportunity to speak with a few of the delegates. I’ve asked them if they think the Synod will be done by Friday this week. They’re not very hopeful.
