The Mandelbrot Set: Atheists’ Worst Nightmare
I teach apologetics to my pre-confession students every year. I want them to understand not only what they believe, but also why they believe. At the end, I usually show a video of a debate. However, this year I decided to show them this video from Dr. Jason Lisle about the Mandelbrot Set. I first encountered this when I was in university. A friend who was doing a Ph.D. in astrophysics recommended I read James Gleick’s book Chaos. That introduced me to the world of fractals. It’s fascinating stuff. At the beginning of the video there’s a bit of math — don’t be intimidated by it. Just be patient and it gets really interesting really quickly, I promise.
