The Confessional Presbyterian

7 September 2009 by Wes Bredenhof

I subscribe to a number of journals.  One of my favourites is The Confessional Presbyterian.  CPJ features excellent articles on doctrine and history, as well as helpful book reviews, all written from a perspective of thorough-going commitment to the Reformed confessions.  Although it has the word “Presbyterian” in the title, many of the contributors come from a continental Reformed background.  In fact, in the 2008 issue, five of the major contributions came from United Reformed and Canadian Reformed authors.  The 2009 issue is being prepared for publication right now.  It will include an article on one of the first Dutch Reformed missionaries to native peoples in North America, Johannes Megapolensis, as well as a review of Michael Horton’s People and PlaceIf you’re interested in subscribing, you can find more information at the website.
