I’m probably going to follow up with a proper review of this down the track, but just for today I wanted to let you know about this fascinating piece of research by Frank Ezinga: “The Impact of Psalm Singing in Corporate Worship in the Canadian Reformed Churches: Perspectives of the Congregants.” Frank is the church organist of the Langley Canadian Reformed Church (where I served some years ago). This was the dissertation for his Doctor of Worship Studies degree. If you’ve got a CanRC (or even FRCA) background, or if you’ve got an interest in psalm-singing, you’ll want to check this one out.
