A Victory Against Religious Discrimination
Yesterday, the State Administrative Tribunal in Western Australia finally issued its judgment in the Hordyk v. Wanslea case. Byron and Keira Hordyk, members of a Free Reformed Church in WA, had been rejected by Wanslea Family Services as respite foster carers because of their views on sexual orientation and gender identity. The State Administrative Tribunal found that Wanslea Family Services discriminated against the Hordyks and awarded them each damages of $3000.
