The Belgic Confession: Not “Sola Scriptura”?
In 1990, Dr. N.H. Gootjes wrote two articles entitled, “Does the Belgic Confession teach ‘Not the Bible Alone’?” In these articles, he interacted with a CRC author who was arguing that such matters as creation/evolution, homosexuality and women in the church cannot be decisively settled on the basis of Scripture alone.
