Waterfall Capital of the World
As faithful readers (all three of you) of Yinkahdinay know, we now live in Hamilton, Ontario. This is our second time living here. I think the city has improved dramatically over the last ten years. It’s a much nicer place to live in many respects. Hamiltonians have also developed a better appreciation for what their city has to offer. The city now promotes itself as “The Waterfall Capital of the World.” It makes sense — there are dozens of places where water flows over the Niagara Escarpment (the same high ridge over which the Niagara river flows at the border with the USA). This website gives an excellent overview of the waterfall scene in Hamilton and it might even make you want to visit Hamilton.
hey,
Have you had the chance to visit any of those waterfalls? When we visited 8 years ago, we had a bad impression because it was over 30 degrees and the smog was like soup in the air. Hopefully next time, we won’t come in the summer and we will enjoy it more, maybe visit one of those waterfalls:).
Blessings,
I hope you included me in your three readers!!!
Hi Gloria,
Yes, we’ve been to Websters and Tews and driven or biked by some of the smaller ones.
Hey,
Thanks for the info on the waterfalls…. I didn’t know Hamilton had any great scenic sites…. I will go looking.
