Just want to drop you a note about this fine volume, not a full review. If you want to be challenged to go deeper in your understanding of Christology, this is an awesome read! Wellum changed my mind on the question of whether Christ could have sinned when tempted. He expertly lays out a Reformed presuppositional approach in part 1, “Epistemological Warrant for Christology Today.” He also explains well some concerning contemporary trends in evangelicalism — one of these happens to appear in a book I’ve been reading promoting theistic evolution (stay tuned for my review of that one — it’ll be published soon at Creation Without Compromise). Chapter 3 takes a Baptist approach to covenant theology, but it doesn’t have a significant impact on the overall trajectory of this book defending Chalcedonian Christology.
