Modesty and the Lack Thereof

Some time ago, I preached a topical sermon on the subject of pornography.  This was in connection with Lord’s Day 41 and the seventh commandment.  Some time afterward a teacher told me that this was something that they also tried to address in the high school.  He said that there was only one subject that made students more uncomfortable than pornography and that was modesty in dress and deportment.  The subject always provokes a reaction and I know because I certainly heard more about my sermon on Proverbs 31:30-31 than my sermon on Lord’s Day 41.  I mention this because I’ve been meaning to post this item from Pyromaniacs for quite a while.  It’s addressed particularly to those of the fairer gender:  a plea to show mercy to the less fair.  The summer’s not over yet, so I imagine it will still be relevant.  If the appendage on your gender circle points downward (i.e. ♀), please read it.
